Dhabeji Special Economic Zone Inaugurated, Aims to Bring 100,000 Job Opportunities

Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with the Foreign Minister laid the basis of the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone. The ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and several other provincial ministers, officials from the PPP, and Mayor of Karachi Murtaza Wahab.

Dhabeji Economic Zone is a significant project in Pakistan spanning an area of 700 acres and will provide a platform for both national and international investors to establish their business units. The project is aimed to attract an investment of US $5 billion and create around 100,000 job opportunities.

The project’s location in proximity to Port Qasim will facilitate cost and time savings in acquiring raw materials and other imports. Easy access to Karachi Airport will provide convenient and safe travel for foreign businessmen and administration. In addition, being in close proximity to the National Highway, there will be efficient transportation of cargo both within the country and to Central Asian countries.

Dhabeji Economic Zone is among the biggest economic project in Pakistan. This alliance between the government and private stakeholders is anticipated to revolutionize the economic development and prosperity of the region.
