Dollar Hits Record High Against Rupee, Rises to Rs.221

Recently, Pakistani currency broke all the previous record, falling at 221 new low against dollar as per interbank trade.

Ruppee fell by Rs 5.80 in the interbank market prior closed at Rs 215.20 as per data reflected.

Against the dollar, ruppee was traded in the open market by Rs 222.

As per data of State Bank of Pakistan showed that rupee was decreased by Rs4.25 or 1.97% against US dollar.

After March 26, 2020, it was the highest depreciation as per day-on-day record.

As per June 22, the Pakistani currency shutdown at a record of 211.93 and since then the currency has remained unstable.

The government of PML-N has set off political instability along with import pressure and moving local currency to the new lows.
