Dubai’s Second Tallest Tower with Vertical Mall, 7 -Star Hotel will be Complete in 2028

Azizi Developments, a real estate company based in Dubai, has officially begun the construction of a new skyscraper on Sheikh Zayed Road. The project, valued at $1.5 billion, is set to be completed by 2028. The unique feature of this skyscraper is its claim to be the ‘second tallest’ building in the world, although the exact height has not been disclosed pending approval from relevant authorities.

The tower’s design includes a vertical mall, luxury residences, opulent penthouses, super luxurious 7-star hotel, an observation deck, various dining options, and other amenities. Construction officially commenced on January 18, with a formal groundbreaking ceremony planned for a later date, as stated by Azizi Developments.

Mirwais Azizi, the Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, referring to it as a special day and a dream project for the company. He emphasized that the tower would be a legacy for Azizi Developments and a way of giving back to Dubai, a city that has provided safety and abundant opportunities for his family and the company.

The announcement of the ‘second tallest building’ was made by Azizi CEO Farhad Azizi in July 2023 through Twitter and BBC Persia. The blueprint for the tower was revealed in November 2022, with speculations suggesting that it could surpass the heights of other notable structures like the Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur and the Shanghai Tower.

The Burj Khalifa holds the title of the world’s tallest building, standing at 828m (2,717ft). Azizi’s new project aims to contribute significantly to Dubai’s impressive skyline and make a mark on the global stage of iconic skyscrapers.
