At the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed appreciation for Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s role in regional peace efforts. He stated that, in his view, the recent easing of tensions and suspension of conflict in the region had been achieved as a result of initiatives led by Prime Minister Sharif.
Erdoğan further highlighted the importance of the current ceasefire opportunity, describing it as a significant opening for dialogue and stability. He attributed this development in part to the diplomatic engagement of what he referred to as his “dear brother,” Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan. According to him, this window of reduced hostilities should not be seen as temporary relief alone, but rather as a foundation that must be fully utilized by all parties involved to work toward durable and lasting peace in the region.
