Economic-Hit Pakistan Secured $8.57 Billion Aid at Geneva Conference

Recently, Pakistan secured vowed more than targeted $8 billion in aid to flood-hit Pakistan as it was looking for funding to restore the affected population of 33 million and cover the damages of around billions.

Marriyum Aurangzeb Information Minister at a conference in Geneva announced that Pakistan has already received total vowed funding of $8.57 billion in order to join hands together in such hard time of havoc flood.

The pledges received are more than the amount sought initially, with PM Shehbaz Sharif stating the South Asian nation needed $8 billion in a span of 3 years, as officials from some 40 countries as well as private donors and international financial institutions meet in Geneva.
