On Thursday, SAPM to Prime Minister for Social Protection Dr. Sania Nishtar said that through a fully open survey, 7 million deserving households were brought into the fold of the Kafaalat scheme.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Sania Nishtar said that the Ehsaas survey is being carried out in Lahore based on a hybrid methodology.
“With transparency and integrity at its core, the survey is being carried out in cooperation with the Punjab Provincial Government, Provincial Department of Education and Lahore District Administration,” she added.
Nishtar said that the Ehsaas programme’s ongoing survey is currently 70% complete in the country. “Fully funded by Pakistan’s government, Ehsaas survey is 100% cost-free and voluntary in nature,” she stated further.
“In order to assess the eligibility of surveyed households for unconditional and conditional cash transfers under Ehsaas, enumerators collect household data on the android tablets,” she continued.
