Electric Buses to start test run in Karachi tomorrow

On Sunday, Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon, Pakistan’s minister of information, said that the country’s first contemporary electric bus test drive would begin in Karachi on Monday.

The Sindh Transport Department has begun a new bus service in Karachi. This will be Karachi’s first electric bus to operate in Pakistan.

Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Sindh Minister of Information, declared that new electric buses had now arrived in Karachi. Tomorrow is the start of their test drive in Karachi. This will be the first entirely environmentally friendly electric bus in Pakistan.

50 electric buses, according to Sharjeel Memon, have arrived in Karachi in the first phase. It will be tested out tomorrow. He stated that following the test run, the bus routes would be finalised.

Syed Owais Shah, the Sindh Transport Minister, debuted Pakistan’s first electric bus in Karachi in 2021. He said that more electric buses would be introduced onto city roadways with the help of the business sector during the inaugural event.
