Ministry of Climate Change official has confirmed recently that the government of Pakistan is planning now to introduce new EV- Electric Vehicle Policy for 4-wheeled vehicles by tomorrow in Pakistan.
As per the source, the launch ceremony will take place in the morning tomorrow at Islamabad. Numerous incentives will be set as policy for EV manufacturers and the byer of EV in Pakistan.
Previously Ministry of Industries and Production had informed about the auto industry as the new EV Policy is set to be made a part of new Automotive Industry Development and Export Plan.
It was stated that this policy is just set to be more focused on small vehicle segment, modernization of tractor industry, reduction of the prices of vehicle, enhancement of the parts localization, and employment opportunities for young talent nationwide and also regarding the vehicle exports.
The statement of the policy further added that this EV Policy will be treated as the basis of all the new policies. It will also emphasize on the regulatory authorities to just ensure the manufacturing of the local vehicles that must match the international quality standards.
