Energy Transformation Modernising the Most Remote Areas of Pakistan

A roadside gasoline station and restaurant are powered by 40 kW roof-top solar panels in Chitral’s picturesque tourism area. It reduces annual electricity use by 6.3 MWh and CO2 emissions by 5 tonnes.

Longi, a Chinese energy provider, provides the solar panels, which Wateen Telecom Ltd. installs.

The transition to a “Green Pakistan” is modernising the most isolated parts of the nation with the help of international assistance.
