England Cricket board’s chairman finally apologizes for canceling the Pakistan tour

As per the sources, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has apologized to Pakistan and cricket lovers worldwide for canceling the tour.

In a statement released on Wednesday, ECB Chairman Ian Watmore stated that the people of Pakistan were “very disappointed” by the ECB’s decision to cancel the Pakistan tour. He claimed that the decision was made by the cricket board without consulting the players.

The decision was made to ensure the mental health of the players due to the busy cricket season, according to the ECB chief; however, it was a difficult decision.

“I won’t go into details, but the decision was made primarily for the security and welfare of the players,” said the English cricket boss, who said that the decision was made following the World Cup and New Zealand’s decision to pull out of the Pakistan tour.

Watmore went on to say that the English cricket board will need to restructure its relationship with Pakistan and concentrate on the 2022 tour. He also expressed gratitude to Pakistan for touring the United Kingdom in a difficult situation.
