Excess Load Shedding in Karachi Has Been Immediately Removed, K Electric Spokesperson.

Late at night, electricity load shedding was abruptly increased in various areas of Karachi. According to K Electric, power generation is returning to normal. Excess load management is no longer necessary.

Even before Cyclone Baparjoy, power outages began late at night in various areas of Karachi. Several Karachi neighborhoods, including Federal B Area, Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Malir, Saadi Town, Defence, and Gulistan Johar, lost power late at night.

The power supply was turned off for several hours. K Electric, the company’s spokesperson, stated on social media that the storm is likely to disrupt the country’s RLNG supply.

Affected RLNG supply may also affect power generation; in the event of RLNG outage, additional load management can be implemented in Karachi for up to 2 hours; load management will also be applied to exempt consumers.

According to the most recent message from K Electric, the supply of RLNG has been restored, and power generation is returning to normal. The city’s ongoing excess load management has been immediately terminated.
