Facebook and Instagram Services Affected Worldwide, including Pakistan

Users across the world, including in Pakistan, faced problems accessing Facebook and Instagram on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Many people reported difficulties logging into their accounts, loading news feeds, viewing posts, and using basic features on Meta’s platforms.

The issues started around 3:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Outage tracking websites like Downdetector showed a sharp rise in complaints from different countries. Users saw error messages such as “Account Temporarily Unavailable” on Facebook and blank screens on Instagram. NetBlocks also confirmed the widespread disruption, noting it was not caused by local internet problems in Pakistan or elsewhere.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has not yet given an official statement about the cause of the outage. Technical experts believe it could be due to a global server issue or internal technical problem at the company. Millions of people use these platforms daily for communication, business, and news, so even short outages create big inconvenience.

In Pakistan, where Facebook and Instagram are very popular for social connection and small businesses, users expressed frustration on other platforms like X (Twitter).

As of now, problem still remain in some areas. People are advised to stay patient and check for updates from Meta.
