Fakhar Zaman, Pakistan’s opening batsman, scored his 3,000th ODI run against New Zealand on Saturday at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
Zaman became the fastest Asian to hit as many runs when he accomplished the mark by scoring 98 runs against the Kiwis in the second ODI and in a total of 67 innings. He has matched another cricketer’s record with this accomplishment.
Zaman became the player with the most sixes (100) in the history of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in March of this year while playing for Lahore Qalandars.
Zaman has scored 192 runs in three Test matches for Pakistan, 1,433 runs in 76 T20Is, and more than 3,000 runs in 67 ODIs. He has also played for Pakistan in three ODIs.
