Fawad Chaudhry, Federal Minister of Information, congratulated Punjab farmers on meeting the province’s wheat production target of 20 million metric tons on Wednesday.
“Congratulations to Punjab farmers and the government on the highest-ever wheat production of 20 million metric tons,” Fawad wrote in a tweet.
According to the Information Minister, the country’s agricultural economy has grown by Rs. 1,100 billion. “Despite the coronavirus outbreak, this monumental breakthrough was possible,” he said.
“This gives an idea of Pakistan’s agricultural sector’s potential,” Fawad added.
