FIA Offloads Three Passengers at Multan Airport From Travelling to Europe Illegally

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has stopped three passengers from boarding a flight at Multan International Airport over suspicions that they planned to travel illegally to Europe through Azerbaijan.

The passengers were scheduled to travel from Multan to Azerbaijan on FlyDubai flight FZ-326. During immigration checks on Thursday, October 22, 2026, officials found their travel profiles suspicious and referred them for detailed questioning.

According to reports, the passengers were identified as Hafiz Muhammad Asif, Tariq Bashir and Muhammad Ilyas. Investigators examined their mobile phone messages and questioned them about their travel plans. The initial investigation reportedly indicated that they intended to reach Serbia and other European countries after arriving in Azerbaijan.

The report further stated that the three passengers had paid travel agents in Vehari Rs600,000 for visa and ticket arrangements. They allegedly planned to pay the remaining amount after reaching their destination.

Following the questioning, the passengers were handed over to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Multan for further investigation and possible legal action.

The FIA’s Immigration Wing checks passengers’ travel documents and works to prevent illegal migration, including attempts involving suspected fake documents or misleading travel information. The investigation will determine the next steps in the case.
