The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has completed preparations for a massive operation against those elements that have created false identities on social media platforms such as Facebook and are defrauding citizens of their hard-earned money.
According to FIA sources, residents’ phone IDs is being created in order to rob their families and close acquaintances, and such incidents are increasing on a daily basis. “The Cyber Crime Wing will very soon smash the entire network behind the bogus IDs,” they warned.
According to the sources, the FIA received over 7,000 written complaints from citizens in 2021 saying that money was “extracted from their close relatives through social media fraud.”
