FIA Recovers Rs.615 Million, Arrests 190 Visa Agents in Islamabad and Rawalpindi in Four Months

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested 190 illegal visa agents and recovered Rs. 615 million during a four-month crackdown in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The operation also led to the registration of 1,543 cases involving alleged human smuggling and fraud.

The action is part of ongoing efforts by authorities to tackle illegal immigration networks, fraudulent visa services and individuals accused of exploiting people seeking opportunities abroad.

In a separate operation, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) arrested three suspects, including a woman, in Rawalpindi over allegations of defrauding foreign nationals.

According to reports, the suspects allegedly posed as bank representatives and foreign law enforcement officials to intimidate victims and extort money.

Authorities are continuing their investigations to establish the full extent of the alleged activities and identify any other individuals who may be involved. Further legal action is expected as the cases progress.
