First truck carrying goods from Pakistan arrived in Turkey via Iran after 10 days and a distance of 5300 Km

Under the Transports Internationaux Routiers (TIR) convention, the first two National Logistics Company (NLC) trucks carrying goods from Pakistan arrived in Turkey via Iran.

The launch of the tri-nation road corridor was marked by a ceremony at Istanbul’s Murat Bey Customs Post.

According to an official statement, the NLC trucks left Karachi on September 28 and arrived in Istanbul on October 7, covering a distance of 5300 kilometres.

The revival of the Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul (ITI-ECO) road transit corridor will improve revenue, trade, and economic cooperation among ECO member states.

Following this successful launch, the NLC plans to expand and regularise commodities transport between Pakistan and Turkey, bringing the two countries closer together.
