These 66 districts include 31 of Baluchistan, 9 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 23 of Sindh, and 3 of Punjab. People are stranded on elevated grounds, railway tracks, roads, and their few surviving livestock. All the low-lying areas in the surrounding regions of River Indus have been wiped off.

According to the reports, Sindh and Baluchistan have received more than 410 percent rainfall above average, which started in early June and is continued till today.

Prime minister Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has established the PM Relief fund 2022 for flood affectees. They accept donations or contributions from all across the country and even from abroad to provide rehabilitation and relief to the affected people.

The State Bank of Pakistan has devised the following guidelines for all the micro-finance and commercial banks regarding the collection of funds from overseas Pakistanis. Transfer any amount of money you can to the bank account to help those in distress.

People overseas can donate via wire transfer to the fund accounts of their respective banks. They can also make donations through the Money service bureaus, exchange houses, or money transfer operators like Western Union or MoneyGram.

The RDA holders can contribute through commercial banks that offer Roshan Digital Accounts. These banks have made PM relief fund accounts available on the Roshan Samaji Khidmat portal. Moreover, 33 banks of Pakistan have opened flood donation accounts to receive the contributions, namely Askari Bank Limited, National Bank of Pakistan, Silk Bank Limited, Allied Bank Limited, Bank of Punjab, United Bank Limited, HBL, and others mentioned in the website with complete details.

Balochistan Prime Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has also opened a bank account for accepting donations in the National Bank of Pakistan and State Bank of Pakistan.

Army Relief Fund

Pakistan Army initiated a huge rescue and relief operation for the people affected due to floods. ISPR has established a Relief and Rescue organization under the supervision of Headquarters Army Air Defence Command for donations and rescue operations. Pakistan Army has also made an account for flood victims with the title ‘Army Relief for flood affectees’.

More than 40,000 victims have been rescued and transferred to safe places. Pakistan Army has also established the above 137 relief camps. 23,000 people are provided with medical aid and medicines in almost 200 medical centers.

Moreover, above 3700 tents have also been distributed along with other essential things. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa made special orders to distribute 3 days of rations to the flood victim. All the general officers have contributed their one-month salary to help, and many are contributing voluntarily.

Despite all these donations, the catastrophe caused due to floods is massive and more donations are required to help all those who became a victim of this National tragedy. More clothes, medicines, shelters, and food are required as the situation worsens daily.

Pakistan Army is also set to establish more donation centers for accepting daily life necessities as well, as first aid kits to treat increasing Diarrhea, malaria, and Dengue.
