FM Ishaq Dar Invites Overseas Pakistanis in US to “Honour their Roots” and Invest in Pakistan

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan’s “best days lie ahead” while speaking at an Eidul Azha dinner in New York with Pakistani-American community leaders.

He said that Pakistan is showing signs of economic improvement, pointing to falling inflation, stronger external finances, better credit ratings, and growing confidence from investors. According to him, these changes reflect stability and recovery in the country’s economy under the current government.

Ishaq Dar said that these positive trends are helping rebuild trust in Pakistan’s economic direction. He added that efforts are being made to strengthen financial systems and support long-term growth.

He also invited overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan and take part in its development. He described the Pakistani diaspora as a valuable national asset that plays an important role in supporting the country through remittances, investment, and international connections.

During his address, he emphasized that Pakistan’s future growth will depend on exports, economic reforms, and improved productivity. He said the government is focusing on policies that encourage trade and strengthen the business environment.

The foreign minister also spoke about Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and cooperation in the region and around the world. He said Pakistan wants stable relations with all countries and continues to support diplomatic efforts for regional harmony.

Community members attending the event appreciated the government’s engagement with overseas Pakistanis and shared their interest in contributing to Pakistan’s economic development.

Officials believe that stronger cooperation with the diaspora can help increase investment flows and support economic progress in the coming years as Pakistan works toward long-term stability and growth overall outlook remains cautiously positive.
