Before the World Cup, the Pakistan cricket team arrived in Hyderabad, India, on Wednesday. The team, led by Babar Azam, received a warm welcome at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Many Pakistan players, like Shaheen Afridi, expressed their happiness about the grand welcome on social media.
According to Indian media reports, Pakistani players will enjoy delicious food during their 45-day stay for the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video of this warm welcome on Twitter.
The Pakistan cricket team’s daily protein diet will consist of chicken, mutton, and fish, according to the Press Trust Of India. Their menu includes dishes like grilled lamb chops, mutton curry, butter chicken, and grilled fish. It’s important to note that beef will not be part of the menu for any of the tournament’s teams.
Additionally, the Pakistani team has requested carbohydrate sources, including steamed basmati rice, spaghetti in Bolognese sauce, and vegetarian pulao, from the stadium caterer.
The Pakistan cricket team’s first World Cup match will be against the Netherlands on October 6. They will also play warm-up matches against New Zealand and Australia on September 29 and October 3, respectively, before the tournament opener.
