According to The News, which cited aviation authorities, a passenger plane of an international airline narrowly avoided an accident when its tail contacted the runway during a failed landing attempt at the Islamabad airport.
According to a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokeswoman, the flight from Doha arrived at Islamabad International Airport at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
According to the official, the pilot encountered some trouble during the landing and opted to lift off and try landing again after going around. The pilot also informed the control tower of his decision.The spokesperson continued, “During the process, the tail of the aircraft touched the runway, but the pilot took off.”
He said that the CAA had opened an investigation following the pilot’s medical assessment.
