Former Pakistani Senator Released by Isr@el After Arrest During Sumud Flotilla

Ishaq Dar has announced the safe release of former senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, who had been detained by Israeli forces during the Global Sumud Flotilla mission.

According to officials, Khan was later hosted by authorities in Crete after his release. Dar expressed appreciation to Greece for providing support and assistance during this time. He also thanked Türkiye for playing an important role in facilitating Khan’s return to Pakistan.

Dar highlighted that Pakistan’s diplomatic channels worked actively to ensure the former senator’s release. He praised the coordinated efforts that helped resolve the situation and bring Khan back safely.

While speaking on the matter, Dar strongly criticized the detention of humanitarian workers and raised concerns over restrictions on aid delivery to Gaza. He stated that such actions go against international humanitarian principles and should not take place.

He further reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support for the Palestine and its people. Dar emphasized that humanitarian missions must be respected and protected under international law, regardless of political situations.

The development has been seen as a diplomatic success for Pakistan, showing the importance of international cooperation in resolving sensitive matters.

Officials also stressed the need for global efforts to ensure the safety of humanitarian workers and uninterrupted delivery of aid in conflict-affected areas.
