Former PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan Dies at 89

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced with sadness the passing of former PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan, who served twice in the role. He passed away early in the morning in Lahore at the age of 89.

In a statement released by the PCB today, they expressed deep sadness over the loss of the former chairman.

Shaharyar Khan was chairman of the board from December 2003 to October 2006 and again from August 2014 to August 2017, as mentioned in the statement.

The statement also highlighted Shaharyar Khan’s contributions as the team manager of the Pakistan National Men’s team during the 1999 tour of India and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003.

The PCB extended sincere condolences to Shaharyar Khan’s family, honoring him as a key figure in revitalizing cricket in Pakistan over the past decade.
