He also batted first for Sri Lanka, and he was essential to their team’s triumph in the competition.
The left-hander posted the picture on social media with the message, “Wonderful memory: 27 years for the 1996 World Cup Man of the Series Vehicle.” Jayasuria won the Man of the Series title for his all-around performance in the competition, scoring 221 runs and taking 7 crucial wickets.
