FWO awarded Rawalpindi Ring-road Project Contract.

The Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) has presented the agreement to begin working on the long-awaited Rawalpindi Ring Road (R3) undertaking, that is predicted to cost Rs22.8 billion.

During a visit to the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) office, a Chinese company team indicated interest within the Leh Nullah Expressway and flood channel tasks.

RDA Chief Engineer Dr Habibul Haq Randhawa, who’s also the deputy project director for the R3 project, says that the development authority had given the Rawalpindi Ring Road contract to the FWO for Rs22.Eight billion.

He stated that the FWO bid Rs300 million less than the expected price and emerged as the bottom bidder after the committee opened technical and economic bids within the presence of important officials.

According to clause No. 26 (B) of the general guidelines for gentle guidance, the FWO has been requested to provide overall performance safety in cash form, pay order, or bank assurance (on stamp paper) from any scheduled bank in Pakistan within 15 days of the issuance of this letter in favour of the task director, Project Management Unit (PMU), Rawalpindi Ring Road.
