Gen Bajwa Threatened to Impose “Martial Law”: Zardari

ISLAMABAD – Previous President and PPP pioneer Asif Ali Zardari makes frightening disclosures about previous Army chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and PTI chairman Imran Khan.

Former president told in an interview that Gen Bajwa had threatened to impose martial law if the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was not withdrawn.

Zardari went on to say that we (the ruling alliance) responded with “Bismillah” and asked the former general to lead the country. We will do cultivating, and you should run the nation now”,
Zardari said citing his supposed discussion with Gen (r) Bajwa, saying the last option took a volte-face on his explanation.

Bajwa guaranteed me to advance toward the political decision stage, saying he will request that Imran Khan step down However, PPP and Fazlur Rehman turned down his proposition, PPP Co-chairman added.
The senior politician also revealed the alleged scheme of ousted premier Imran Khan and General (r) Faiz Hameed, who planned to remain in power until 2035.

he said PPP never dodged elections but we want elections in one to go, reiterating the supremacy of the parliament.
