German Reduces Public Transit Fares by 90% to Reduce Fuel Usage

Germany has taken off many measures to expedite the phasing out of oil and gas. Germany had made energy cheaper for homes and businesses in order to resolve it. It has been planned to solarize every public building by 2025.

Moreover, Germany has decreased train, tram and public bus rates to just nine euros ($9.56) for the whole month in order to encourage people to get off of gas.

The reduction in prices means a 90% cut down from monthly regular income of public transportation in Berlin. The new rates will be available to German commuters soon.

The great initiative of reduction in public transportation cost will apply to every citizen of the country who were using local and inter-regional transportation services. It would be beneficial for the country to consume less energy and beneficial for lower income citizens too.

It would not only ease for the people who already travel with local public transport but also encourage the one who want to avail transportation services (buses or train) for work, vacation or visiting anywhere.
