Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology is the only fully residential higher education Institute of Pakistan. It is located at the most serene mountainous area near Tarbela Dam. GIK is a fully walled community with excellent academic and residential amenities. According to the management, the Institute has recently announced to extend its admission deadline till “12th July” for Fall 2021 in view of a large number of applicants awaiting submissions.
The on-campus facilities include a bank, a wide variety of traditional and fast food restaurants and convenience stores etc. besides student’s hostels and official residences where all related facilities are available on 24/7 basis. The students also enjoy a variety of sport facilities available at GIKs sports complex like gym, swimming pool, basketball court, cricket, table tennis, squash courts, and ladies gym. In order to support the online teaching, the Institute provides free WIFI for the faculty as well as the students.
