Go Energy Pvt Ltd is set to launch a 500 MW floating solar power project on Keenjhar Lake. This ambitious initiative aims to supply clean energy to K-Electric using the Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company (STDC)’s transmission line.
The STDC is partnering with private firms to enhance the region’s electricity infrastructure. This collaboration will play a crucial role in addressing the energy needs of the area. In addition to the floating solar project, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a 600 MW transmission line has been approved. This MoU involves the Gul Ahmed Group Power Company and Gul Ahmed Renewable Energy, each of which will generate 50 MW of power.
These initiatives mark a significant move towards sustainable energy solutions and the improvement of transmission networks in Sindh. The establishment of these projects not only highlights the region’s commitment to renewable energy but also promises a more reliable and efficient electricity supply.
Furthermore, the creation of the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SEPRA) underscores ongoing efforts to ensure that electricity remains affordable for consumers. SEPRA will play a vital role in overseeing the procurement processes to ensure transparency and cost-effectiveness in the energy sector.
