Google switching from Free Photo App to Paid

Google Photos app has always been an amazing and extremely handy gallery app that not only lets you back-up your photos just for free, but it also gives you plenty of editing and similar other features to choose from as per your choice.

Now, as has started growing with popularity, Google is now trying to monetize their app, and some reports are now saying that its some of the editing features may not be free in the upcoming period.

The XDA Developers have also spotted the code in the latest version of the app of Google Photos that clearly shows that the app is headed in that one direction. And these are not just some hidden or anonymous lines of code as here; Google is already testing its approach right now with some people.

Moreover, Google has told that the verge that this company is not probably going to lock some of the editing tools behind a pay-wall, but it is only offering a new latest version that can be used easily on more photos than before. It is what the software maker stated:

In the app of Google Photos, the color pop is an amazing feature that continues to be available for anyone to use, for free like at no cost, as the photos with depth information (such as portrait mode). And as a part of an ongoing rollout that had begun earlier this year, the Google one members can also apply the feature to even more of his/her photos or of other people, but including those that are without depth information.

The company Google refused to comment, saying it has “nothing to share” for the other Google Photos editing features.
