In the coming years, the Government of Punjab plans to convert all public sector electricity connections to solar energy.
According to a top official, 10,500 public schools and universities in Punjab have been converted to solar energy, and all primary health facilities are currently is been converted to sun’s electricity, with in all central government universities following suit.
The above-mentioned actions are likely to save the Punjab govt Rs. 36 billion in federal payments every year.
