Government Intends to Introduce Ehsaas Petrol Card for Middle Class People

The federal government intends to introduce the Ehsaas Petrol Card, which will allow motorcyclists to purchase gasoline at a reduced price.

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin presided over a meeting of the MEAG (Macro-Economic Advisory Group) at the Finance Division on Thursday, according to an official notice.

Three topics were discussed, including proposals to help the middle class cope with excessive inflation.

The meeting discussed proposals such as subsidised fuel, tax reliefs, internships (for educated unemployed), increased income/minimum wages, economic reforms, particularly in the energy sector, and finally, building on the growth momentum with 5.6 percent GDP growth, 15% increase in exports, over 10% increase in remittances, and record tax collection by boosting business confidence and removing bureaucratic barriers, and ensuring consistent monetary policy.
