The Government of Pakistan has announced a major opportunity for students and professionals by introducing a free online German language training programme, aimed at enhancing global employability and language proficiency.
Collaborative Initiative for Global Skills
The initiative is being offered through the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), operating under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. It is being conducted in collaboration with GIZ Pakistan and telc GmbH, ensuring international standards in training and certification.
This partnership reflects Pakistan’s continued efforts to align its workforce with global market demands, particularly in Europe.
Programme Overview and Structure
The programme is designed to provide comprehensive German language training, enabling participants to achieve proficiency levels aligned with international benchmarks. Classes will be conducted online, making the programme accessible nationwide.
Participants will attend sessions three days a week, totaling approximately nine hours per week. The curriculum includes language training, exam preparation, and a specialized Training of Trainers (ToT) component for selected candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
The programme is open to a wide range of applicants, including:
- Teachers
- Students
- Professionals with prior German language knowledge
Applicants must already possess B1 or B2 level proficiency in the German language, ensuring they can effectively progress to advanced levels.
Levels and Certification
Training will be offered for:
- B2 Level
- C1 Level
Upon completion, participants will receive internationally recognized certification aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), enhancing their academic and professional credibility worldwide.
