The Advertisements Complaints Redress Committee (ACRC) was provided a list of over 200 publications for review and final recommendations for removal from the Central Media List (CML).
These publications include newspapers and magazines that have been reported as being irregular, with many failing to produce a single printed copy for the assigned offices in the last two months.
To expedite the distribution of newspapers and magazines around the country, the Press Information Department established an online attendance system for publications.
It stated that PID Islamabad or the regional information offices in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Gilgit, Larkana, and Skardu are obligated to produce printed editions of all publications on the CML, it stated.
