Government to develop Islamabad’s rural areas to modern sectors pattern.

The government recently decided to pass laws to close the gap between Islamabad’s sectors and the surrounding rural areas, with the latter being developed sector by sector.

Federal Minister Asad Umar indicated during a meeting on the government’s plans for the development of the capital that the rural transformation plan will convert around 50 to 55 percent of Islamabad’s rural districts to the sectors pattern.

He further stated that the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) will be given complete control over the city of Islamabad, with the CDA acting as a regulatory authority.
