Governor Sindh Announces Free IT Courses for 500,000 Youngsters

KARACHI: In a significant step towards empowering the youth of Sindh, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori announced a groundbreaking initiative to provide free modern IT courses to 500,000 individuals in 2025. Speaking at the New Year celebrations held at the Governor’s House on Wednesday, Tessori emphasized the government’s commitment to creating opportunities for the province’s youth through the Governor’s Program.

Highlighting the progress made under the program in 2024, the governor shared that 50,000 young individuals had already been trained in various IT skills. He expressed optimism about expanding this initiative significantly in the coming year to meet the demands of a technology-driven world. “This program is about giving our youth the tools to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy,” Tessori remarked.

Addressing Socioeconomic Challenges

The governor also reflected on other milestones achieved during the past year. Over 900,000 ration bags were distributed to those in need, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities. Tessori vowed to address pressing issues such as unemployment, clean water shortages, affordable electricity, and sanitation in 2025, ensuring that the people of Sindh experience tangible improvements in their quality of life.

New Year Celebrations and World Record

The New Year celebrations at the Governor’s House were marked by a spectacular display of over 40 minutes of continuous fireworks, setting a new world record. The grand event brought together citizens and officials, symbolizing hope and renewed energy for the challenges ahead.
