Govt Approves Over Rs. 3 Billion for Independence Day Celebrations, Marka-e-Haq Monument

Pakistan’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved an allocation of Rs. 3.1 billion to support nationwide Independence Day celebrations and the construction of the Marka-e-Haq Monument, a landmark project intended to commemorate the country’s achievements and pay tribute to the sacrifices of its national heroes.

According to the approved plan, the funding will be used to organize a wide range of Independence Day events and activities across Pakistan, while also financing the development of the monument, which is envisioned as a permanent symbol of courage, resilience, unity, and patriotism. The initiative is aimed at preserving the nation’s historical legacy and inspiring future generations by honoring those who contributed to Pakistan’s progress and security.

The government believes the monument will stand as a lasting reminder of the country’s collective sacrifices and achievements, reinforcing national identity and pride. Meanwhile, Independence Day celebrations are expected to include public gatherings, cultural programs, patriotic ceremonies, community events, and other activities designed to encourage greater public participation.

With this significant allocation, the government seeks to make this year’s Independence Day celebrations more extensive and meaningful, reflecting a renewed commitment to promoting national unity, celebrating Pakistan’s history, and recognizing the contributions of the individuals who have shaped the nation.
