Following its first release in the country’s major cities, the online passport fee app was made available throughout Pakistan by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) on orders from the Interior Ministry.
The Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah officially launched the app Passport Fee Asaan today. It was also announced that it has been made available to the general public, according to Salman Sufi, the head of the Prime Minister’s (PM) Strategic Reforms.
He stated that it is one of several facilities that will be introduced in the coming months that it will allow millions of citizens to pay their taxes without having to wait in line at banks.
Additionally, through the DGIP’s PayMaster web portal, citizens can pay their passport fees. Previously, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore could use the online payment service. Karachi was supposed to get it this month. Prior to its planned introduction in the nation’s financial centre, the Ministry, however, activated it all around the country.
