Govt Wants to Bring Top International Brands Like Walmart, Target to Pakistan Under Make-in-Pakistan Initiative

The Pakistani government is encouraging top foreign brands to open outlets in the country and is offering office space for their commercial offices.

As part of the ‘Make in Pakistan’ initiative, global brands and retailers coming to Pakistan for sourcing with local businesses will have their first six months of expenses covered by the Export Development Fund (EDF).

The move aims to attract foreign firms, particularly from the US, amid the ongoing trade war between the US and China.

Pakistani textile and apparel industry executives plan to arrange roadshows to entice foreign industries during international exhibitions and events.
