The Islamabad High Court has approved a major increase in the Transport Monetization Allowance for judicial officers and court staff in Grades 17 to 22. The new rates take effect from 1 July 2026.
Under the revised scheme, officers will receive a fixed monthly cash amount instead of official government vehicles. Grade 22 officers will get Rs 250,000 per month. Grade 21 officers will receive Rs 195,000, Grade 20 officers Rs 175,000, and Grade 19 officers Rs 150,000. Grade 18 officers will get Rs 100,000, while Grade 17 officers will receive Rs 60,000 every month.
The decision was made on the directions of Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar. An official notification was issued by the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court. The allowance covers judicial officers of the Islamabad Judicial Service as well as officers working in the High Court itself.
The money will come from the already approved budgets of the Islamabad High Court and the District Judiciary for the financial year 2026-27. No extra funds will be needed.
