PM Shehbaz Sharif is likely to inaugurate the new Gwadar International Airport on March 23 in Balochistan’s Gwadar district, as per sources.
According to sources, the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) has completed the safety checking of the airport and gave green signal for flight operations.
The airport is located at 26km east of Gwadar city in Gurandani. It was financed by CPEC (China–Pakistan Economic Corridor) which coated around $230 million.
The airport construction created 3,000 opportunities. The initial ceremony of the airport was held on 29 March,2019 by by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
