Haibat Khan Haleemi Makes History by Becoming Pakistan’s Oldest PhD Scholar

Recently, University of Balochistan’s Haibat Khan Haleemi made history by becoming the country’s oldest PhD scholar.

Haibat Khan Haleemi, who is 85 years of age obtained his degree at the University of Balochistan’s 18th convocation. When Haibat walked the stage to receive his degree, the entire audience appreciated him by giving him a round of applause while standing.

Syed Zahoor Ahmad Agha, Governor of Balochistan, embraced the oldest PhD Scholar before giving him the degree.

According to the Governor, the idea of doing a PhD at this age and the will power to finish it, is inspiring and a source of motivation for all those who are eager to seek knowledge and education.
