After dropping Matthew Wade’s catch in the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final against Australia, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali stated that he couldn’t sleep for two days. Hasan also described it as the most difficult time of his career so far.
Pakistan held the upper hand heading into the final couple of overs, chasing a target of 177.
In the penultimate over, Hasan lost a straightforward catch of Wade off Shaheen Afridi’s bowling.
The Australian wicketkeeper-batsman then blasted the left-arm seamer for three sixes in a row to eliminate Pakistan from the World Cup.
Hasan told Cricket Pakistan about the dropped catch that resulted in him receiving a barrage of internet hate.
