Heavy rain, thunder and lightning recently swept across Makkah and Madinah. A lightning strike even hit the famous Clock Tower in Makkah. Yet inside the Grand Mosque, pilgrims remained focused on their worship.
Despite the downpour, thousands of worshippers continued performing Tawaf around the Kaaba. Many prostrated in prayer, raised their hands in dua and filled the Mataf with takbeers and remembrance of Allah. Videos showed people praying Isha in the rain, their clothes soaked but their devotion unbroken.
Saudi security teams stayed on duty to keep everyone safe. For the pilgrims, the rain was seen as a special blessing. The spiritual atmosphere stayed strong as people kept circling the Kaaba and offering prayers without stopping. The scenes touched hearts around the world and highlighted the deep faith of those visiting the holy sites.
