The Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan has announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art Data Centre at NED University in Karachi, a move aimed at enhancing data accessibility and gaining international recognition.
The Data Centre has received the “Design Document Certification” from the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) 942, a globally recognized benchmark for data center design.
This certification, known as ‘Rated3,’ ensures high standards in quality, reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
The Data Centre will provide advanced technologies for cloud computing and High-Performance Computing (HPC) to meet the evolving needs of academic research, as well as facilitate collaborative opportunities for research and development.
The initiative demonstrates HEC’s commitment to advancing technological infrastructure in higher education and fostering collaborative initiatives.
