HEC to Launch $1 Million Nobel Prize for Students With an Entrepreneurial Mindset 

Higher Education Commission, Pakistan (HEC) in cooperation with Hult Prize Foundation (HPF) have taken encouraging steps for promoting social entrepreneurship culture among the youth of Pakistan. 

Hazrat Bilal, the Director General Research & Innovation (HEC) along with Ms. Lori Van Dan, the Chief Executive Officer of Hult Prize Foundation have signed a letter of intent during a virtual ceremony.  

The initiative is meant to educate youth on social entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development Goals providing them a platform for solving world’s biggest challenges through innovative social enterprise. 

Hult Prize Foundation hosts world’s largest competitions annually for business ideas in addressing a social problem. Pakistani students actively participate in the competition winning impressive awards. 

Now this collaboration will open more avenues for all Pakistani universities in the program. The HPF competition is based on different rounds and after going through a competitive process, the winners are awarded a huge prize money of US $1 million to actualize their idea into a reality.
