Elvish honey, also known as “Aloes honey,” is considered the most expensive honey in the world. It is sourced from a cave in the Black Sea region of Turkey, located at a depth of 1800 meters in the city of Artvin.
The rarity of its source and the fact that it is only harvested once a year contribute to its high price. What makes this honey special is its unique taste, which is slightly bitter rather than the usual sweetness of regular honey.
This distinct taste is believed to be beneficial for health. Elvish honey contains antioxidants, magnesium, and potassium. It is sold for approximately 900,000 Pakistani Rupees per kilogram.
