Japanese automaker Honda is going to launch the 6th generation of City lineup today. This car will hit the market in five variants, i.e., 1200cc Manual, 1200cc S CVT, 1500cc S CVT, 1500cc AS Manual, and 1500cc Aspire S CVT.
In 2014, Honda debuted the 6th Generation Honda City all around the world. It received numerous awards worldwide and was one of India’s most popular subcompact cars in Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, and even China.
About the exterior, Premium Dual Barrel Halogen Headlights with Integrated DRLs are standard on all models. The Rear Lights have Advanced Wrap-Around Bulb Lights, and the Fog Lamps (Bulb) are optional in the first three types but available in the top two. 15-inch Alloy Wheels are standard on the 1500cc AS Manual and 1500cc AS CVT, while 15-inch Steel Wheels are standard on the other three models. Keyless Entry with Trunk Opener is standard on the first three types, while Smart Key Entry is standard on the final two (1500cc AS M/T & 1500 AS CVT).
Tilt and Telescopic Electronic Power Steering are standard on all models on the interior side, making driving the car very easy and comfortable. The first three models’ infotainment screens have 7-inch Touchscreens, while the remaining two have 9-inch screens. Push Start, Auto Air Conditioner, and Rear AC Vents are not available on the first three Honda City 6th Generation models, but they are available on the rest. Ivory is the interior color in all five models. Meanwhile, all variations include the option of adjusting the driver’s seat height.
The manual transmissions on the two manual types (1200cc and 1500cc) are 5-speed manual transmissions, while the CVT transmissions on the other three are CVT transmissions. The SOHC i-VTec 4-Cylinder 16-Valve engine is found in all models. The 1199cc engine in the first two models produces 88hp and 110Nm torque. On the other hand, the remaining three have a 1497cc engine that produces 118hp and 145Nm torque.
