Hospital Ward Boy Becomes Hero, Rescues 26 Babies from Devastating Fire

A tragic fire broke out in the children’s ward of a teaching hospital in Sahiwal, Punjab, leading to the loss of four young lives.

In the midst of the chaos, courageous hospital staff and security guards managed to rescue many, with 60 to 70 children and their families trapped inside.

A social activist, Sanam Jamali, shared a powerful image of Arshad, a ward boy, who heroically saved 26 children from the fire caused by a short circuit. His bravery has been widely praised.

Unfortunately, the death toll rose to four as two more children succumbed to their injuries on Saturday.

In response to the tragedy, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has called for a thorough investigation into the incident. She extended her condolences to the affected families and emphasized the need for strict accountability to prevent such incidents in the future. The Chief Minister’s actions underscore the importance of ensuring safety and preventing further tragedies.
